How does it glow without batteries?
The cover is made with a glow-in-the-dark material. It soaks up light, then releases it as a green glow once it's dark. Leave it in the sun or under a bright lamp for a few minutes before you play. A UV flashlight charges it fastest.
How long does the glow last?
It depends on how much light it soaked up. A strong charge in direct sun or under a UV light gives you the brightest, longest glow, and it fades gradually from there. If it starts to dim, hold it under a light for a minute and it's back.
Can I use it on sand, grass or concrete?
Yes. It has a durable outer cover made for outdoor play. Sand and grass are ideal. Rough concrete wears any volleyball faster, so treat it the way you would a normal ball.
